algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Brep/solid difference or boolean operation of the volume in between?

hello guys

rencently i'm came across a problem rather dump but i've tried any possible method with Rhino and GH, also searched through the GH forum but not getting any answer, which i originally thought should be achievable pretty easily in the first place...

here comes the question:

is it possible to get the volume/brep of the space in between those two boxes?

if could,is it a boolean operation? or how to make it happened? i'll be glad to here any response! thanks!

Hi,
For Rhino it's impossible !

On sphère and small sphère ! Not boolean différence !

Rhino is à surfacique modeling

Can't you measure the seperate Volumes from both of the boxes and then use an "A-B (Subtraction)" to subtract the smaller Volume from the bigger?

I just started with Grasshopper, so maybe I'm missing something here?!?...

Groetjes!

hey Thomas

thanks for the reply!

have you tried what you mentioned before? if you do can you share the GH definition or if you did it with rhino can you share some pics, sorry cuz i'm not really following you.

thanks!

got it!

thanks!

Here is the gh file

bigger box comes to the upper brep

smaller box to the lower one

hope it helps
