Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

There is a warning for the breq plane intersection component in the example file here, but the geometry is still produced, strangely...

May I ask why there is such an warning and how to correct it?

THank you!

Hi Grasshope

I think it is because of the different heights.
Try this solution!

THank you very much, Antonello!

In the original example, the spacing between the planes used to cut the building mass is the same. May I ask what the "different heights" are as you mentioned?

Thank you, again!

Welcome!
I'm sorry for my reply, it was too generic. When you use a workflow like your, the buildings should be the same height. Look at the example attacched.

As you can see it is only an issue of error message because the first solution works as well as the second one. Maybe, it depend on some "none" elements that the component puts in some branches. If you move the cursor to the output "C" you'll understand what I mean.

Thanks, Antonello!

It seems in your workflow the zones in the 1st floor are missing. So, I connected a zero to the offset input node on the contour component, and it seems to solve the problem.
