braiding strips

hi everyone

very simply i am trying to loosely 'braid' or 'interweave' a few long, thin strips (surfaces) in grasshopper. i was wondering if there is a component or generic definition that can help me with this?

because i am writing long definitions that don't create the effect i want in the end anyway. i would appreciate any feedback, although i know i am being rather vague.
