Here's what you describe:

However, if it as simple as creating a box at each point you can dispense with the Move component and plug the Points directly into the B input of Box.

Also if you destination surface has curvature and you need the objects to be oriented to the surface than I would suggest you use Surface frames and Orient.

I think the Center Box component is what you're looking for?

It worked when I tried to plug points into the Base plane socket.

(Edit: Beaten by one second :P)
