algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody!

I'm working on a definition fo urban patterns study; in this work i need to insert a component that I have modeled in rhino on a triangular surface, but i can't find how to do that; I have tried with box morphing, but it always needs 4 corners (and i have only three...)
Is there a solution to this problem without scripting?

I think you could use a twisted box component. Is suposed to work with eight vertices (box) but I think that with 6 (prism) will work too

Give it a try, it's like the 4 point surface that works with 3 points too... Maybe it's not the proper usage of the tools but... it does the job sometimes.
I tried, but it doesn't work... I' don't know if maybe it's possible with some other release of gh (I'm using 0.6.0018).
Anyway, thanks for help...

I have had some success with a triangular morph using a twisted box.  I needed 3 points to register perfectly at the target location.  For two points, I used two corners of the twisted box along one edge of the box, for the third point I used the mid point of the opposite edge.  As long as you use points along the edges of the box it should perform as expected.  The twisted box edges are always morphed to straight lines at the target location; only the relative vertex positions are morphed.  Morphed edges of the twisted box get morphed but are never curved (at least I have never gotten them to morph to curved edges).  The thing to remember is that the geometry you are morphing is not required to fall withing the referenced twisted box.  The edges of the twisted box are only a position reference structure; a framework to hang any geometry on, around, within, or completely separated from. This about all I can offer without specifics of your specific situration.
