algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I realize how Rhino deals with trimmed surface and that they are only hidden. However, I know it must be possible to morph geometry onto a trimmed surface in GH or am I wrong?
If someone knows the answer to this dilemma I would be very appreciative! The definition is simple so I have only posted a jpg.
Thanks

Do you want to trim those panels with the intersecting surface? Have you tried any of the intersection components?
Hey Jason thanks for the reply.
i have tried every single intersection component to no avail. I would be happy with a trim, but would really love it if the morphed geometry was not cut but rather fit the trimmed surface. I am not sure which will work but either is fine at this point. I have posted my 3dm and GH file if you have a second.
Thanks man.
anyone know a solution here?
hello
i am getting a null in the geometry component you are trying to box morph.
what kind of geometry is it?
Apologies, I forgot to include that geometry. Will upload now. thank you
how about this?this is the trim version.
in order to have the box morphing without having the result cut you will have to follow a strategy like the one described in the following post
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/surfacetrim-workflow?id=2...
in order to have box morphing you will have to have boxes as targets for your custom geometry (the one that was missing). in this case the trimmed surface results in triangular-like volumes which cannot be used. for that case maybe a strategy like the following could be right for what you are after.

Holy s**$, this is brilliant mate!
