Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a stream of values being read from some resistors via an Arduino board.  I wish to know the bounds of the list of values but have no need to record all the values especially as this could run well into the tens or hundreds of thousands...  Anyone have a suggestion as to how to go about this?  Thanks.

Hi Robert,

this is counter to the way Grasshopper was designed to work. It is not typically possible to carry over data from one iteration to the next. However you can hack around this limitation using a VB/C# script (see attached).

David, Thank you that is a great help.

I'm presently using some of these multiplexers to read my values in conjunction with the stream gate component and I think my issue may be similar here too. When the gate index changes the wires go orange and the Firefly Data Log component fails to read any values, is there a similar workaround allowing me to hold the values until the next update from the resistors?

Thanks again.

Robert
