algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm doing a boolean difference using a box & extruded surface made from exploded text.  Some letters work sometimes, some don't sometimes, it seems to be inconsistent.  Anyone had this trouble or gotten over this trouble?

Hi Mike, aren't your text letters solids? I tried this, without the exploding, and it works fine.

HMMM . . . I just tried it, but I cannot set the text to either a Srf or Crv parameter in GH.  I also cannot select it in a boolean difference or union or anything.  I also tried extruding surface & curve just in Rhino (Rhino5) but it does not recognize the text as curve, surface, or solid.

hmmm . . . what gives??

How did you create the text?

Doooohhhh!, I need to use TextObject . . . Slack.

Thanks Pieter!

Cheers!

Sorry, I went out. You figured it out, good. How did you create your text the first time??

I just used the Rhino command Text.  That doesn't work I now know.  I just used TextObject & set it to Create Curves.  I need the 2d lines for plasma cutting later in the GH definition.  I can just extrude them at the end of the GH def for the model.

I knew it had to be something simple . . . Thanks for the tip!
