algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Boolean Difference not working, when BREP A and BREP B share a common edge

In the scenario described above, GH will not find a correct BREP.

When done manually in Rhino 4SR9, it works. This seems to be a bug with RhinoCommon.

Hi Jonatan,

Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 use different intersection algorithms under the hood. This also applies to RhinoCommon while executing Boolean functionality. You mention that the error does not show up when doing things manually in Rhino 4SR9. Is Grasshopper also running on Rhino 5? What happens in Rhino 5?

Thanks,
- Giulio

Hi Giulio,

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Rhino 5 in my office, so I can't test it. I am attaching the files in case somebody else wants to open it in Rhino 5.

Cheers,

Jonatan
