Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi all

this topic is relate to the link below, i the post is a bit old so i decided to open up a new dicussions

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/blending-shapes-morphing

is that a way to tell the mesh to blend/morph following the curve?

also, i notice that there is only a mesh decompose, does grasshopper have a nurbs decompose function, similar to mesh decompose?

You mean like this?

The N input with the * has the expression (n-1).

I used the average of the mesh vertices as anchor point to center the mesh on the curve, alternative you might want to generate a custom set of points or planes for this.

For surfaces you might want to use the "surface points" to decompose a surface into its control points. You can also divide a surface into a grid of points, average those, and then recompose a surface using the "surface from points" component.

Hi Vicente

The blending works perfect, just like the jpg above, however, when i plug in a Evaluate curve into Orient, the blending is flying away from the curve. Or is there other way to plug in instead of using average. (but don't get me wrong, the average works fine, just as i wanted)

the second question rise, when i use surfaces instead of a meshes. The blending is acting funny when i use surface instead.

also, i trying to apply the blending technique into a numbers of polylines, but it seems it only blending/morphing on the first line and it stays the same for the rest of them.

Sorry to bombard you with tonnes of questions
