Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am learning grasshopper and am trying to attempt the Live Components Origami Folding script located here:

http://livecomponents-ny.com/?p=436

When they were creating their script all of their curves offset in the unified correct direction +Z while mine are random which I cannot figure out why.

I am attempting to add a Flip command with a guide curve to correct this based on this thread I found here:

http://grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/offset-curve-direction

I have uploaded the script and Rhino file which I am halfway through copying where I am

Can anyone take a look and help a beginner out why my sections are not in the same direction? I am guessing it is how the surface is being created which is causing this.

Hi Jeremy, I'd say it's because of the XZplane you used for one of the offsets: use YZplane for both offsets. (Or the planes you intersected the surface with).

I didn't check the flip curve bit but I think there is no curve yet to use as a guide, and I don't think you'll need it here.

Hi.

You'd better reverse loft curve order and as Pieter said, delete flip curve component.

You can check my revised definition attached.
