Before jumping into GH

I have installed RH5 and downloaded GH. Before jumping into GH, I would like to know if the problem I would like to solve is solvable...Let's assume I have a 3d model alredy done in Rhino4. Then I have a file csv where x,y,z, and f(xyz) columns are shown. p=f(x,y,z) is the calculated pressure by a CFD on the same model. Points where the pressures has been calculated are on the mesh that CFD used for the calculation but importing the Rhino original model. I would like to color map the model with these pressure values. Let's say that the result should be like the draft angle analysis in Rhino, where the angle value is now the pressure coming from the csv file. Because the CSV files are many, I need a procedure that can be filled with different sources. Has somebody an idea on how this can be done in GH?

Danny, I sent you yesterday some files but using the noreply address.
You probably did not receive them?
I also would like to send you an updated model which correctly scaled to meters and on negative Y, to be in line with the data file.

You want to user generate false colors by vertex?

Some of the false color functionality in StructDrawRhino might be useful. http://geometrygym.blogspot.com/2011/09/mesh-false-color.html
The same thing can be achieved using native Grasshopper components.

Interesting. Let say that we use Nastran for structural calculation and we normally import the Rhino models in the pre-processor for generating the mesh. The color problem is coming because we got the CFD data from somebody else. I guess that GH is the best solution for a temporary problem.

Grasshopper is explicit history based. It can capture a modelling process, allowing the user to vary the inputs to achieve results. You mentioned many csv files to process, I certainly think GH is an excellent means to process and report data in the manner you've described.
