algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I have a script which gathered information from an HTTP request to the TfL website (Transport for London). It used a plugin called Slingshot to do so, with an input URL which looks something like this:

https://tfl.gov.uk/WebCAT/DownloadTxtReport?places=Stations%20stops...=undefined&populationCategory=undefined&townCentreCategory=...

which outputs a .txt file with all the juicy information.

The issue is it mysteriously stopped working a while ago, and after emailing them about it, they said they had updated their system to only support TLS 1.2 or above.

So it's good to know the problem isn't on my side, but unfortunately I have no clue what this means, or how to get around the problem.

A quick Google has let me know it's something about security credentials, but I'm still stuck on how to fix it.

Any ideas? Any help would be fantastic,

thanks!

Hi John,

this should get you going, as well as provide a small sample for the people of Slingshot to maybe provide connection security settings.
