algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I am doing Primer exercise 9.3 using vector/mathematics with point attracts and I was wondering how you could achieve the opposite effect (so that the cubes get smaller further away from the point, rather than larger).

remap values component

What does that mean?

remap component. check out this way I made that has a switch to go between a repeller(what most people mislable as an attractor) and an attractor. http://formularch.blogspot.com/2012/03/gh-point-attract-repel.html?m=1

This is the definition Michael....

look here. In the future it is best to not make 2 posts about the same thing. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/exercise-9-3?id=2985220%3...

Hi Michael! Quick question, you link was very useful! but what if instead of controling the cirles radius I actually want to move (distance) the points that are being repelled so that the voronoi pattern (shown below) is affected?? Any ideas?

Then use move and vector 2 point

I'm sorry but I'm new at this.. what should I connect those components to? I've been experimenting but I cant quite figure it out

Babym, I may misunderstood you.
But, is this what you want to achieve:

?

P.S.

Michael thank you for learning the difference between these two terms, and the way repeller can be achieved.

Hi Djordje,

Thanks for your response, but instead of creating different sizes in the offset, I wanted to the actual points generated through the PopGeo component to repel themselves, so that as you get farther away from the repeller point you get a smaller scale in the pattern.. seeing as there are more points for the voronoi component..

I don't know if that clears it up?

Hm, just like Michael said: 2 point vector and Move:
