algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Andy!
Can I say that your request is a bit .... "vague"? (just 2 rows of text, no pics involved...)
Lets see if I got it right...
The logic I could suggest is this:
a baseball seam on a sphere is (very probably) symmetric. Symmetric in more ways.
By interpolating the 8 vertex of a cube (in the correct sequence/order), we can create a curve that is, without doubt, completely symmetric on itself around the center of the cube! (within the limits of the cad)
Then, just project the curve to a sphere centered on the cube (i used a sphere with a seam that doesn't intersect the baseball seam, to avoid possible issues then...)
(selected a component by mistake, no purpose in that)
I hope this help!
Let us know if you need more or anything else.
:D
