algorithmic modeling for Rhino

base.BeforeSolveInstance()

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what happens when you call Before/AfterSolveInstance on the base GH_Component class?

Just wondering whether this ought to be included when overriding.

Nothing, those methods are empty in the GH_Component class.
