Bamboo structure

I recently saw this project, and I found it very interesting. I've been trying to do the geometry with grasshopper but it seems very complicated. I'm new here, I was wondering if someone could help me out to solve the geometry

This is such a cool project. I'm working on a bamboo project too and did a search today. I will be posting my issue soon.
