You could just export the Grasshopper geometry to a DWG directly. No need to bake then delete, etc. Look at the TT Toolbox component [CAD Exporter].

Hello ,

TT toolbox can able to export in one layer. How can I export in multiple layers & curves in one file?

Attached is a Python script that exports Rhino objects to DWG from their layers. So unlike the TT Toolbox component, you will need to bake your Grasshopper geometry to Rhino layers before exporting. But it maintains their layers.

Hope this helps,

thanks for the input, I get an error stating Unknown command:Folder\foo.dwg

But is it possible to do it with a rhino command? to make a gh script export as dwg in a command bar in rhino? I know it is possible, just do not know how :-)

Aleksander, please see above. You can adapt that code to work with the Python editor in Rhino.

Stephen,

I got your script to work, but I need to export only the curves in a certain area (a sheet).

I posted my question in more detail here

I was hoping you could have a look and give me some pointers

thx
