algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey Guys,

im using Giulio Piacentino's VB script Baked Attributes to allow my surface panels to inherit their colour from a gradient function in GH, but when it bakes, some of the colours fall off, and i have no idea why.

it seems to work with a square (in top view) srf, however, no uniform surfaces freak out a bit.

cheers, alex

I don't know why this is happening but you might try using modelab's mode tools - they allow this kind of color or material baking, and I have always had success with them. http://modelab.nu/?p=2226
thanks for that. however i just tried the modtools, and i had the same result.

But modetools are not working with 0.7 as far as I know ((
ok, i (and my mate) figured it out. because the ghx was written originally for a square surface, when the non square was passed into the shaders, it passed in null values for the points which fell on the outside of the srf, so when the list was sorted the null values corrupted the pattern. to fix this all i did was pass the list though a 'clean tree' to cull out the null values.

thanks for your help
Hey mate, by cleaning the null items out of your lists the data seems to flow through no problems.
