Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I' m trying to bake a pyramid and colors on its faces. I converted surfaces in mesh, then i used "Mesh Colours". After baking everything, the result on rhino, shows me only the lines of the pyramid, but not the color put over the surfaces.

My file is attached below.

I tried to understand some answers that were given in other posts, but i don't get it :(

If someone can help, would be great !)

Thank you

Regards

AKA

Looks like you're on Wireframe view. Go to Shaded/Rendered/Ghosted display mode.

Hi Joe,

Yes you are right, by changing view mode and erasing some duplicated surfaces over one, the color is showing itself. Top! Thanks!

If i may, another question not related with the file above:

if we have two colored surfaces (one on another), do you think it is possible to bring the blue (for exemple) over the white (for exemple), without having a mix?

Thanks again! Good day to you!

They're both on the same plane, so the weird pattern you'll see is Rhino having a crisis about which to show.

A few possible options that come to mind (basic examples attached based on area of your older definition):

- Delete the ones you don't want in Rhino, or cull them before baking from Grasshopper.

- Bake the meshes with separate colours.

- Move one of them slightly further out so there are no clashes.

I'm sure there are other options, but those should get you going. Have a good weekend!
