Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Guys,

I'm still relatively new with Grasshopper.  My latest question is as follows:

I have an existing script that grids circles and alters the diameter according an point of attraction.  I now want to use that script to be applied all over the surface of a three-dimensional volume.  Basically, is it possible to apply the point of attraction onto the surface of a cube so it wraps continuously around?

I attached the files.

Thanks!

Just create the initial points by subdividing the faces of your cube rather than creating a grid.

If you want to remap the grid to the cube, thats different again, but here is the former.

Hi!

Thanks for your help.  I previously tried to subdivide the faces on the cube but didn't have much control over the parameters (attractors -> diameters of circles, spacing, etc.).  So you're right, what I'm trying to do is "remap" the grid onto the cube since the script I have allows me to have more control in a single plane.

Thanks! I'm going to keep trying!
