Attractor slats help

Hey guys, 

I'm having trouble setting up my attractor definition. I've looked up a couple examples online but they all do different  attractor definitions for different objectives (circles, width, etc). 

The green group on the script is what I'm having problems with. 

The rhino screen shot shows what I want to achieve. The slats closest to the attractor line should extend to 8 inches and the furthest away should be a minimum of 2 inches when furthest away. Attached are the files. Thanks for the help guys.
