algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello,

I'm trying to add an attractor point to a simple space truss definition in order to set the truss depth. Although it is quite simple, I want the attractor point to pull only a small radius of the space truss grid. I have attached a sketch showing what I'm going for. Any help or suggestions?

(The sketch showing what I'm trying to do is the first picture)

thank you

I didn't have one of the plugins you used, but here's a way to create a spaceframe from scratch:

Note that I do not pull the top layer of points towards the attractors, instead, the distance to attractor measured from the ground state is used as an elevation factor.

Hey David thanks for the help but I had something else in mind.  The definition has to be applied on a specific surface that is not planar. And the the attractor needs to create the same effect seen in my initial sketch, of a small radius yet pulling the triangles as high as possible. Anyone else?

Your original question didn't mention a non-planar surface.  Moving the goal posts after someone has replied is just wasting time and effort.  Instead of looking for a perfect solution, it would be wise to study David's code to understand what he did.  It's likely that his ideas can be adapted to the particulars of your problem, which you didn't make very clear in the first place.  David is a very clever guy!

By the way I used the space truss 1 component in LunchBox plug in, although it might work better using only original grasshopper components
