algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello All!

I am looking for some help with this attractor point.

The pattern is based on a hexagonal grid. The attractor point is supposed to increase the inset of the pattern. It is doing that, but I am facing the following problem:

If I extract the control points of the differents faces and link them to the scale, the inset is not parallel to the original grid.

And if I link the curve extracted from the faces to the scale I obtain 4 inset whereas I only need one..

I would be grateful if anyone could help me!

Thank you!!

I'm not really sure about the second part of your question, but to address the issue of the parallel cells, you need to instead offset the curves rather than scale the control points. If you look at the scale factor values, you're getting 5 different values per polygon, which results in a skewed shape.

Thank you so much Christian!!

That was very helpful and I clearly got where the mistake came from!

Thanks again!!
