algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I realize this question is in regards to quite an old post by U, but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to adapt the attached definition to have the attractor points have the inverse affect on the surface as well (that is create valleys as well as peaks)

I am rather new to gh so i apologize for what is probably a really dumb question, but i found that i could insert a negative multiplier just before the 'line' component and i would achieve a valley condition. however i am looking to have both conditions simultaneously occurring.  so i thought of adding a dispatch so if the z-value of a given point was less than zero it would react one way and if greater than zero the other, however i was unable to make that work.

any thoughts...thanks

DeDackel,

thanks man! this is exactly what i was looking for.

do you know if there is a way to have a curve or at least the points from a curve serve as the attractor? when i added points from a curve and assigned them to one of the inputs, one of the item bars lists that the index is to high.

thanks again DeDackel

puh,

again not sure if this is what you mean :-)

Best Regards
