Associating brightness of image to certain shapes/icons

Hi,

I am pretty new to Grasshopper. I have tried to recreate the definition to associate brightness of image to a certain shape/icon from ( http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/sampling-an-image-using-i... ) but there are some problems with the result - the shape/icon overlap at some points and the result that I got seem to not be associated with the image I put in the Image Sampler.

Could anyone enlighten me?

Here are my GH and Rhino files:

OMA-IIT.gh

OMA-IIT.3dm

Thank you very much!

Because the GH script is written for 9 icons (x=0 to 8)... and if you input negative values for the index of the List Item you will mess things up. I'm pretty drunk at the moment so I'm not going to write you a new definition, and if you can't figure it out you don't deserve to use it. Urghhhh I hate negative indicies.

Edit: Sorry for the rude comment, but you can't input negative indicies into the List Items. (You CAN but it's not a good practice in my opinion.) You need to fix that.

Also your icons are not in an order in terms of brightness, you need to sort them out first. (x=0 is the smallest (or "dimmest") and the last x is the biggest (hence "brightest").

No worries at all! I am still in the process of trying to figure out your definition, but I'll try do you said for the moment.

Thanks!
