I have a kinetic grid created from points. I need to apply it to a lofted surface and therefore need to associate those points to thatsurface ( i have managed to associate the area and the normal direction) as i want the kinetic grid to follow its curvature without it being distorted.
Lida, I downloaded your definition and looked at it, but I still don't understand what you are trying to do.
When you say "associate with the surface", what exactly do you mean? Are you trying to get your kinetic structure to follow a curved surface? Are you trying to get UV points that correspond to the ends of the kinetic structure? Something else? Can you draw a quick sketch?
Also, the definition is really spread out, if you cleaned and organized it more, it would be much easier to see what you are trying to make.
I cleaned up the definition. How I started was by creating this kinetic structure by points.but, I want it to follow the curvature of a surface which at the moment it doesn't.I am sure it has to do with the uv points but not sure how. Does it make more sense now?
Danny just to let you know that I tried the intersection component as well (line-surface) but not sure how to identify the points as the components are moving.
Let me know if you need more info. Many thanks
