Area/Region Loading

How does one use the Load Region component? I can’t seem to get it to work, i.e. it doesn’t seem to have any effect on deflection.

I was expecting something like me using a closed curve and placing some number into the Area Load input and the plugin interpolates the data, but apparently, it doesn’t work that way and it takes a vector instead of a number.

I’ve tried things like Divide Surface > Use the points as origins for the downward vectors, directly inputting the vectors into any of the inputs, etc.

Neither component worked. [see pics]

Both Point Load and the Linear load input to Frame Curves however are working.
