are conditional constructs possible in GH (without scriptable components)

There's no really an if-else type of component but under the "logic" tab you can find components for boolean operations. You can combine these with components like "dispatch", "cull pattern", "cull index", etc.

Nevertheless, i personally always found scripting much less cumbersome for logical operations than doing everything with components, even when i knew very little of scripting.
