any update on the Butterfly?

may i ask if there is any update on the development of the butterfly component to connect GH to OpenFOAM for CFD simulation?

BTW, any recommendation on OpenFORM learning materials?

Yes, I'll glad to be involved in the testing of Butterfly.

Meanwhile, let me try to install OpenFoam on my Windows 7 again and get back to you on the problem I encountered.

Hi Mostapha,

I post the problems I encountered when trying to specify OpenFOAM environmental variable and run OpenFOAM on CFD-online:

The installation of the latest OpenFOAM 1606 on Windows 7 64bit is OK.

However, when I click the "OF_Create_Env" shortcut on desktop, i got the error message (see image 01 below) informing me the access to the registry key "...PowerShell" is denied, and I can't start the OpenFOAM Containerized Windows Version.

If I click the "OpenFOAM_Start" shortcut on desktop, I get another error (see image 02), saying "error setting up host..."

Both shortcuts are executed as admin.

The error messages are attached here.

Hi Mostapha, following suggestions to my post on CFD-online, i manage to run OpenFOAM on windows 7 now.

May I ask how to install and test Butterfly in GH from here?

We have added some cool features to Butterfly recently. If you update the component you will be able to have access to them.

Please let us know of your experiences with the tool, still a long way to go!
