Should work fine, although the usual recommendation is to get the latest version of whatever OS you're working with. Just be sure to get the 64-bit one (8, 8.1 or 10, doesn't matter all that much).

Thanks. I'm sure that some people are holding out on 7, like me. Is 10 working well for everyone?

Yeah, works fine for me. Still a few issues with having multiple screens running at different UI scales, but it was worse in earlier versions.

If you don't mind sending every keystroke you enter on your computer to Microsoft.... by all means go for it.

Personally I'm quite fond of Windows 10, would recommend the upgrade.
