Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Any known Bug where objects bake correctly but do not preview at all?

Hello,
Constantly using grasshopper , when changing the model file in rhino (file->open)
then in the grasshopper definition re-setting parameters (points, curves etc..)  to point to new geometry in the model. once i do this the preview disappears totally yet everything still bakes perfectly .
all previews set to on of course.
Any help ???
in order for the preview to come back i have to copy my definition into a new file and kind of set everything up from scratch again!

This has most definitely been noted before.

If you have too much GH geometry visible (surfaces) it may not display.

It may initially work upon loading, but recomputing a solution is too much for the preview display handle.

Can you work with the wireframe display mode?
Hi Erez,

is there a message that gets printed in the command line history whenever viewports are redrawn?

the only thing i sometimes get is this
Exception was thrown in ExecConduit(): Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
don't know if it's related.
btw it's pretty simple geometry not anything too complicated, it also dosen't display in wireframe as well.
Yes, it's related. A crash happened during the redraw, it was caught in time, the crash message is printed to the command line and the redraw is short-circuited. If you find the object which is causing the crash and disable the preview for that object, the rest should draw fine.

I believe I've already fixed this for the next version.
