Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Does anyone know how to connect ANSYS (CFX - fluid simulation) with the Grasshopper? I am trying to optimize the building form towards wind and snow ! however , we have been exporting the geometry then import it to ANSYS  , then reviving some feedback from ANSYS and change some parameters in grasshopper,.... since we are continuable changing the the parameters of the geometry , this can not be efficient way of working!!!!!, therefore we need to get a live simulation analysis from ANSYS while changing the geometrical constrains!!!

Hi,

I've made a primitive start on a link to Ansys, but I'm not an experienced Ansys user and support from Ansys has been near zero.  If you have ideas about producing command files or other means of importing information to Ansys and are happy to share, please get in contact.  To my knowledge Ansys provide near zero in the way of API or COM control (which is a convenient way to develop interaction).

You'll see advanced interaction with many other analysis solvers at http://geometrygym.blogspot.com

I think if you search for Ansys on the search tab here, you'll see others that have developed other interactions.

Cheers.

Hi. I have done some projects between GH & Ecotec or other CAD software but not Ansys yet. I have checked the discussion forum , the onley one which could be useful to my project  was http://ning.it/p4Xrva , however component is not shared. But I let you know if I get somewhere with this.
