Animating Scissor Structures

Hi Everyone,

I am having some trouble with showing the opening and closing of a scissor structure in grasshopper. I have the script (with help) running the scissor and it can open/stretch wider but it can not a) close, and b) maintain the length of each element. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy this?

I have tried a couple of things to try to control this but am having some problems making a relationship between the height of the vault to the length of the vault so that when it collapses they both go down together. Here is the newest copy of the script if anyone can help.
