Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there any way to know the script inside this component?

I would like to know  the formulas it uses to see if it fits with spanish regulations and so on..

Thanks very much.

the 'script' is the inversion of the stiffness matrix, after f=K*U where f are forces, K is the stiffness matrix and U are the displacements. you give K and f, in order to get U ( the displacements) you have to invert K. this is somewhat the core of finite element analysis.

karamba so far performs linear elastic analysis.

there is no specific code applied to this level of analysis.

Hi Pablo,

the appendix of the Karamba manual contains information regarding the algorithm employed for cross section design accoording to EC3.

Best,

Clemens

Thanks again.

Looking into CrossSectionValues.csv, I've seem strange numbers.

I wanted to calculate the weight of a circular bar, so I looked for the "Area of Section (cm2)" Column. I've realized that in some cells there is not a comma. So, what it shoud be "1.121548 cm2", it is actually "1211548 cm2".

I just wanted to know if that changes the analyzes. Thanks.

It has probably to do with your regional settings for separating decimals.
