After Splitting a surface, how can I create a new domain from only the split UV surface?

Hello,

I'm new to Grasshopper and I'm running info a problem. I have a large surface that is being split by a curve, but when I try to create a subsurface within the split area, my domain continues to reference the original surface UV plane, not the newly split one. Is there a way to create a new domain for the split surface only?

Thanks much,
Aaron

Aaron, do you want to put the blds footprint inside the parcels, using the sliders?

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. I've been quite busy with school. Pieter, you basically achieved my end in your last reply, but I think I need something slightly different. I'm using grasshopper to discover a design, rather than simply trying to make something predefined, so I'm experimenting with what the program can offer me. Therefore, nothing is fixed exactly. I plan to select various points on a terrain and have grasshopper generate different designs that react to the surrounding environment. This began with highlighting a specific curve (lot selection) and projecting it up to the terrain, where I would then work within, but I think my definition of aims need further clarification on my own part before I can clearly ask for further help.

Thanks for pointing out some clever strategies nonetheless. I'm sure they'll prove helpful and will post again if I have specific questions.

Best,

Aaron
