Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all!

I'm trying to make an image sampler that will increase the density of 2D Pop points based on the color/shade from an image sample. Basically, something like the attached image, only there will be more dots in the black fields and less in the white, not varying sizes of dots.

Any ideas on where to start? Thanks in advance!

You can do this with the image based circle packing in Kangaroo

See this example: https://github.com/Dan-Piker/Kangaroo-examples/blob/master/collisio...

This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but it led me in the correct direction. Thanks so much!

Hi Daniel,

This example is great.. I'm new to this however and I'm having trouble modifying the boundaries of the circle area and getting it to look like my desired image :( could you help?

I'm trying to make a map showing density (circles). The image I have attached is a black and white "rendering" of the density.

thank you!

Valeria
