Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

i am creating large sets of canterary curves, the actual geometry needs to be color coded, not the plugs and components. i was able to change the colors of the curves after baking and using rhino object properties. how is this done in grasshopper?

Someone is welcome to correct me on this, but I think your best bet is to separate the geometry you want by you color choice and then bake them to separate layers. That is to say you would be able to bake the Red to Layer 01, Blue to Layer 02, etc.

You can colour objects like srfs, crvs, pts and mesh vertices using the Custom Preview Component in GH but when you bake you will need to use something else to bake with attributes. see Giulio's blog.

Hi Danny

Did you find any way to bake the clorours?

Cheers Natasa

Giulio has a great component called BakeAttributes that you can download from here: http://www.giuliopiacentino.com/grasshopper-tools/

It seems that Giulio's definition doesn't work with version 8.09...

Are you unable to install the latest release for either Rhino 4 (0.9.0014) or Rhino 5 (0.9.0072)

Here is another way, but you need to preset your layers:

Hope it helps

Pretty basic but usefull thanks Andres :)

hi dear

is possible to select curve from color?

for example, from our sketch select only yellow curve?

thanks
