Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!

as the title says, i am a beginner in need of some pointers:

1. first of all, is there any help page for grasshopper, online or offline, that has a search function? i couldn't find it...
or is there a place where i can look if i want to know how a certain object works (what each parameter means etc)?

2. my undo function is inactive in grasshopper. why is that?

3. is there a simpler way (with drag) to copy objects, other then ctrl+c / ctrl+v ?

4. how can i select objects generated through grasshopper in rhino (let's say i want to assign a Brazil material, or change it's layer..)?

hope you can help, thanks a lot!

1. In Rhino you can export the GH help...I don't remember the command, I think it is "GrasshopperExportHelp" or something similar. Not sure if there is search, but it will make you an HTML help.

2. Download the latest version of GH... it is 0.6.0043

3. No

4. Select the component that is generating the geometry you want to use in Rhino and then click on the fried egg button on the toolbar. Once you do this it looses associativity with the GH model.
hey, thanks for the answer!

1. i did export (btw, for those reading, this command isn't available on the now stable version 0.5.0099). unfortunately it only says the things you can see when pointing over the variables/buttons in GH, so doesn't really help much.

2. i did install the latest version, still grayed out undo...

3. bummer :)

4. didn't know about the bake thing. Thanks!!
latest wip is 0.6.0043.... undo is working in this version
yep...
i installed 0.6.0019 previously since that was the most recent one in the download section. i do have 0.6.0043 now, and undo IS working. thanks for the backup!
Probably a stupid question, but... did you try to do something that can be undone before checking if it's grayed out?
