Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am new to Grasshopper and am trying to create a surface made of truncated hexagonal pyramids with different height going from max height on the sides and min height in the middle to create a curved surface, so the opening of those pyramid gets bigger as they get shorter.

So far I was only able to create a flat surface with pyramids in the same height.  Any idea how can I change the height of those object in a circular way to create this curved, bowl like look?

Thank you,

Yoram

Hi.

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you, that looks very interesting.   Is there a way to create this surface from an existing shape?

Try "Surface Morph".

Thank you!

This is extremely interesting and useful.  If I need to create a very precise surface, based on a predefined 2D image (attached), is there any way to raise those shapes on top of that vector surface or use it as a guide?
