Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys,

I have a 3d grid of points as Shown in attached Jpeg and I want to connect the points in a 3d rectangular grid (like a simple rubens cube structure)

Any ideas?

Hi Marios,

I'm trying to deform a 3d grid similar to the one above. However, I want to apply multiple attractor points with varying amounts of force. I'm using the moved points to create a voronoi structure. I want the points closest to the attractor points to be most affected. Any suggestions? I've attached the file I've been working with.

Hello Emily,

Take a look at the following. I think its close to what you are trying to achieve.

Best,

This is great! Thank you!

Thank you

as i understand it so far,
there is one setting for all attractors.

therefore the question, whether can be used

also different setting for different attractors?

and i do not understand some curves. ;-)

marios,

it would be awesome if you could link them together.

As Marios said, I think you just need more data. I have Some simple components coming out that use A different approach for curve manipulation, but all in all the more refined you want to be the more data you need. As seen here. This component will have about 4-5 inputs. but as you see adding lists (gene lists here) can vary the result per attractor individually. As marios suggests add some more sliders or use some gene lists.

Nope, if only one setting is provided for lets say 10 attractors, this setting is going to be used in each one of them. if 10 different settings are provided (ie 10 different sliders for the range) they are going to be implemented according to gh's data matching logic. If less settings are provided the would be assigned by the longest list management (repeat first option). So you basically have endless possibilities.

Hope this is clear enough? try to set 10 different ranges.

ps. i really have to work towards a documentation for nudibranch.

R,

take a look at the attached. the 'weird' curves has to do with the fact that they lie in between certain attractors. If you want a unified result, set a boolean toggle with true value for the Mi input

marios,

cool work you have done!

is it possible to visualize the radius for the attrators regions?

From within my components, that's a no. but if you add a circle component and feed points and sliders you got yourself a visualization.
