Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everybody,

I'm a beginner and I am trying to build a irregular but modular 2d grid created by a line attractor. I am trying to reproduce a grid similar with the one below. A grid that is modified by the distance between his cells (points) and the points on the line.

Thanks!

Hi.

To me, according to your image, you have different sizes of cells at similar distances from the curve.

It seems that what you said and your image do not match.

All the cells bound together with the other cells in the horizontal and vertical directions, so It will not be as easy as you think.

Hi Hyungsoo, and thanks for your reply.

Yes the picture is not the best example. Is just a quick sketch on what I want to achieve. I know that it is not very easy to do it, trust me I've  been searching for the answer for days now. The question is, can it be done ?...or is just a wild-goose chase.

P.S. Forget about a line attractor. Can it be modified by just one point attractor, and still have the points in the grid collinear?

Thanks.

Thanks a lot Hyungsoo Kim! This looks promising. I'm gonna check if I can go with it one step further and build a line attractor. I get back to you. Thank you for your time!
