Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi guys,

i am a newbie and i have two questions:

1. I would like to put the rectangle in the center of the plan, is it possible?

2. Are there other ways to get the same result?

Thanks!

When you hover over the input for the dimensions of the rectangle you will see that it requires a domain. So you can draw a rectangle anywhere in relation to a plane but you need to supply a start and end. for it to be centred on the plane origin it would need to be -ve and +ve in equal measure.

What I like to do is have Expressions on [Construct Domain] -A/2 and B/2 which means you can supply a length and have it distributed equally either side of the origin

Other ways to get the same result

This is the most efficient, but like anything in Grasshopper there is more than one way to skin a cat.

prefect, thanks!
