Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Recently installed Windows 10 Tech Preview.

Had been running Rhino without much problem. Could not get Grasshopper to install. Below is what I get:

Will Pearson is working to make the RHI errors friendlier, I'll direct him and Brian Gillespie to this post. If anyone can help, it's them.

Thanks David. I'll installing a fresh copy of windows 10 tech preview to see if I can reproduce the problem.

Victor, can you confirm which version of Rhino you're using?

Version 5 SR11 64-bit
(5.11.50226.17195, 26/2/2015)

Thanks.

Right now, I have expanded the zip file and placed it in plugin folder to make it work temporarily.

Victor, sorry I haven't replied yet. This problem is still on my radar but I've had difficulty reproducing it. Have you been able to use Grasshopper in the meantime?

Yes, it is working fine.

We're also tracking this issue on Discourse and RH-30485. Can I ask what language pack you're using in Windows? (If you've unsure, go to Control Panel -> Clock, Language, Region -> Language and let me know what languages are in this list.)

Thanks Victor. If you check the link below, I've uploaded a couple of test programs (one old and one new, that I hope will fix the problem). Would you mind running them both and letting me know if any errors pop up?

Sorry, Victor. I should have mentioned that you need to drag a zip file (or and RHI) onto the EXE.

Yep, a CMD console poped up and quickly disappeared. Seems to be good.

Fantastic. Thanks for testing!
