Course Description:

The 2-day course aims to provide an understanding of the principles of Parametric Design and facilitate the user through the basic uses of Grasshopper 3D.

Course Outline:

The course is intended for Architects with prior experience in CAD and solid knowledge in Rhino 3d Modelling. The course aims at introducing advanced digital and parametric design to the attendees as well as to demonstrate ways of applying it to Architectural Design. The comprehensive 2-day course n aims at providing a good understanding of the fundamentals and advantages of using parametric modeling with Grasshopper 3D.

Course Objectives:

The main objectives of the course are to:

Create and Modify free-form geometry

Introduce the theoretical and practical framework of advanced parametric-associative design tools

Investigate advanced capabilities of digital design tools for generation, evaluation, and representation of complex Architectural forms
