eMOTIONAL design,15 – 17 of November at Mediterranean FabLab

From 15 to 17 of November, the Medaarch organize the workshop eMOTIONAL design, that will be held at Mediterranean FabLab of Cava de’ Tirreni (Sa). 

The course is part of a full training schedule planned and promoted by Mediterranean Academy of Architecture for the year 2013-2014.

In recent years we are witnessing, thanks to the progressive reduction of costs, the spread of so-called “BCI” laptops (Brain Computer Interfaces), the devices allow the reading of brain waves through sensors placed on the scalp. The Emotiv EPOC, along with the application EmoLens, is capable of reading in real time and interpret different types of emotions according to the sensations experienced by the user. The workshop will focus on the acquisition, recording and manipulation of such data / emotions through Grasshopper (plug-in for Rhinoceros 3d) and their use for controlling the parameters of the design of a particular object will then become, being customized with the specific user’s emotions, appeals and tactile memory of specific experiences.
