Please help!!

Hi, I am a new member of the group. Architecture student. Till now I have been using CAD,Revit and Photoshop only. I want to start using Rhino and GH for a new project. Could someone tell where to find the VERY basics. I mean I have a CAD drawing on which I want to try leaf venation for a network. Also my Grasshopper doesn't seem to have the 'Scalar' category in it..why is it so?

Thanks so much..no,not for copy-pasting..if i want to create a venation pattern with a set of points i have, to show a network, how do i do it?is it possible?
