need help with topo: associate point height to text

Hi there,

I was hoping someone could help me out with a small problem. I have very little experience with GH so I don't really know how to go about setting this up. If even possible...

Attached are two images to help demonstrate what I'm trying to do.

Ok so I'm trying to create a topography and what I've been given is the height in text boxes at the location in plan. What I would like to do is actually get the vertical location in model form so that I can create a surface. I went ahead an put points on every text box with the intention of then raising them. As you can tell from the first image which is only part of the site, there are many points. Plus I feel like this would be a good learning opportunity.

Anyway, I can't figure out how to sort the text boxes and then also associate points vertically to the location of the text box in plan. Any ideas of how this can be done? How can I get the numerical data from text and associate it to the height of a point at the location of a particular text box?

Or any ideas of what I can do to at least simplify the process?
