algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I am having a problem simulating a triangulated origami shape using the origami component in Kangaroo. The square pattern in green works fine with the definition that also determines the mountains/valleys but when I use the triangular (orange) one based on Ron Resch's design the geometry starts to fall apart at the hinges. Any ideas why? I'm sure the answer is quite simple but we are stuck at the moment. Also, is it possible to use unary forces and anchor points to force the geometry into specific shapes?
Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Your mesh vertices are not exactly coincident. You can fix this in Rhino with the AlignMeshVertices command, or in Grasshopper use weldVertices from theMeshEditcomponents.
and yes - you can add Unary forces and Anchorpoints as with any other simulation - just make sure the points you apply the force to coincide with a mesh vertex.
