It is clever and yes, it is very hard to get good results. By the way, the other area I am working on, is to bring this type of technology [Hardware-Software] to a reasonable price for education. I am working with paper now. We have seen good results and the price for a nice model is sometimes less than $99 cents. Teach the basic things, let the kids construct their scaled models and the best part, do that in house fast, same day you do your definition with GH. I will test this on Friday here in our office in Miami. Hope all goes well.
We need to know if we can rotate the material or not in order to cut it, mill it, laser it etc... and also, the Nesting part. Save and Optimize the material. Waist is a big problem. We are working with TDM Solutions to add more functions to their product RhinoNEST. Hope to see those new options soon and be able to script them from Rhino. Cutting as you know, is not just sending curves to a CNC router...
